The forgotten warrior memorial
The Forgotten Warrior Memorial in Channahon State Park in Channahon, Illinois was built as a tribute to our veterans who have served and sacrificed their lives as a direct result of PTSD.

In 2024, L13 MCS South was a Title Sponsor of the inaugural 5K Walk/Run. This event was a grand success and attracted over 300 participants, and raised thousands of dollars to help fund the maintenance of this memorial. Our team eagerly awaits next year's 5K.
In 2023…
In 2023, L13 MCS South donated funds to complete the lighting and paving project to help beautify the memorial.
The team also attended the dedication ceremony in fall 2023, where our president, Dan Ricci, was awarded a plaque for his efforts in assisting with the memorial.
